Online shopping is practical, but it’s boring. AI tells us exactly what we need, at what price, and then we buy it. But what about the raw thrill of shopping? Buying something you don’t need? Just seeing something awesome and cheap and getting it? All shopping used to be fun until we invented the internet and messed it all up. Through strategy, advertising, design, we modernized the Zulily brand, and positioned them as the anecdote to traditional online shopping.

A series of tv commercials introduced “Something special everyday.” The same way zulily surprises the audiences with unexpected sales and unique products the commercials were designed to keep viewers on their toes with humor that did not adhere to a consistent formula. The campaign helped Zulily achieve a 13% growth in sales.
